Vice President of New Member Education/Membership Recruitment Director

Hi everyone! My name is Emma Altgelt; I am a current senior at Oakland University majoring in Human Resource Development and minoring in Criminal Justice. As the membership recruitment director, I am responsible for planning and executing our fall formal recruitment (also known as rush weekend). This is the largest aspect of my position, as I spend the majority of the summer planning with the assistant MRD. I also am responsible for informally recruiting members during informal recruitment season, which is any time during the school year that formal recruitment isn’t going on. My second position is Vice President of New Member Education, and I am responsible for educating all new members on what it means to be a member of Tri Sigma and I prepare these new members for initiation. When I’m not planning formal recruitment or informally recruiting new members, I enjoy lots of different crafty things such as crocheting and painting, and spending time with all of the animals that I have. I joined Tri Sigma to make more friends on campus, to give myself the opportunity to be in leadership positions, and to be apart of something meaningful and that gives back to the community.

Treasurer/Education Director

Hi! I’m Kara Alexander. I am a current senior, majoring in Elementary Education. I love spending time outside, going for walks with my dog, and traveling. I joined Sigma because I was an incoming transfer student living on campus, I didn’t know anyone and wanted to become more active on campus. I knew Sigma was the right fit as soon as I met everyone. My position is Education Director and Treasurer. For Education Director, I host study nights, track study hours, and keep track of education forms. For Treasurer, I keep track of dues, budgets, and making payments.
